Cariole Music Festival
The Coriole Music Festival is on again and is in its 20th Anniversary Year

The Coriole Music Festival was established in 1999. Held in the first weekend in May, it encompasses two days of beautiful chamber music, with meals and wine included.

The programming often features rarely heard works, which are performed by the finest musicians from around Australia.

With entries opening Monday 6 May 2019, South Australian filmmakers aged between 13-25 are encouraged to turn their lights, camera and action on SA musicians by submitting a music video for an original song.

Winners receive over $5000 in cash and other prizes, and will have their music clip screened online and on the big screen locally and nationally.

Join Music SA for a FREE Music Video Making Workshop and then get your game on for the battle to beat all battles.

Description: A true gardeners’ garden in the heart of Stirling opening for the first time. Since building a passive solar house which featured in the 2008 Sustainable House Day event, the owners have transformed the land from an overgrown pine and dying stringybark forest infested with woody weeds into an exuberant, slightly ‘free-range’ garden, bursting with colour most of the year.

RAA Street Smart Primary
Young children are especially vulnerable on our roads so we need to equip them with road skills and traffic knowledge.

RAA Street Smart Primary is a school program that features a road safety presentation and interactive activities to educate children about pedestrian, passenger and cycling safety.

It is free to school students from Reception to Year 7 and is tailored to particular age groups.

Information is also provided to parents to reinforce the safety learning at home.

The program was launched this month at St Catherine’s School in Stirling and will be available to all SA schools in 2019.

Aussie Helpers Volunteers for Isolated Student Education (AHVISE) is looking for retired teachers and tutors for 1 – 3 month placements with remotely located families in Australian outback regions to assist with the distance education of their children.

Volunteers are provided with up to $1500 towards their travel and accommodation costs while meals are usually provided by the families.
A current Working with Children clearance is required.

You will be helping students complete classwork sent to them by the Distance Education program.
