ANIMAL WELFARE LEAGUE Pet of the Week
All the cats and dogs that are available for adoption from the AWL have been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked and are ready to go. Adoption costs start from $25.

The pets may be at one of three AWL locations - Wingfield, Port Adelaide or Edinburgh North

Adoption opening times: 7 days a week, 10am - 3pm

Cat 1 of the week is Merrylegs:
I'm a handsome male and love smooches. I'll keep your lap warm at night and your windowsill occupied during the day. I'm only 2 years old and have almost found my home a couple of times but through no fault of my own keep finding myself back at the AWL.

CAT 2 of the week is Minerva:
I'm a shy, gentle little 18 month old princess looking for a loving home where I can snooze in peace. I find children a bit scary so a quiet home would suit me.

It is free to school students from Reception to Year 7 and is tailored to particular age groups.

Information is also provided to parents to reinforce the safety learning at home.

The program was launched this month at St Catherine’s School in Stirling and will be available to all SA schools in 2019.

Teachers interested in 2019 bookings can visit raa.com.au or phone the Street Smart Primary team on 8202 8214.
